A bitter herb, Blessed Thistle's taste stimulates gastric juices which aid digestion, especially of fatty foods. Digestive ailments caused by insufficient secretion of gastric juices can be alleviated by brewing Blessed Thistle tea--1 teaspoon steeped 3-5 minutes in hot water--if drinking in advance of consuming a fatty meal, it can prove preventive.
Not recommended if you are pregnant or allergic to artichokes.
